Earlier today the three candidates that will be competing to represent France in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest gave their first live performance in a show Les chansons d’abord. The show was hosted by Natasha St-Pier who represented France in 2001.
The show also included live performances of three past French representatives from Eurovision, Anggun (France 2012) Amaury Vassili (France 2011), and Marie Myriam who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1977.
The votes from the public will be combined with the jury in order to select the winning artist and song. The result of the national final will be announced on Les chansons d’abord on 2 March 2014.
