Melodifestivalen kicks off this Saturday the the Semi Final. There are already big names in the the running order including the Eurovision Song Contest winner from 2005, Helena Paparizou. Another one is a Melodifestivalen veteran YOHIO, who finished second last year and winning the public vote.
Melodifestivalen will have a total of four Semi Finals, a Second Chance round, and a Final, to which will be when we would know who would represent Sweden for the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark.
After all the performances, only the top two with the highest score will go to the Finals and the third and fourth place will go to the Second Chance round. The remainder four will be eliminated from the competition
Semi Final 1 will be held at the Malmö Arena, where last year the Eurovision Song Contest was held.
